Eliot Spitzer has attempted to put to rest rumors (which he's fueled himself, of course) that he’s planning to run for political office in the near future, as the former governor told PIX News’s Marvin Scott that, despite encouragement, he's not planning to launch a campaign.
"I don't have any thoughts about running for political office right now,” he said. “It is not what I am doing. People have been encouraging me to run for office. I am flattered, and I'm thankful. It feels nice, but it's not happening I'm not running for comptroller."
And when pressed about his raised profile recently, Spitzer said that things aren’t always what they seem. When Scott started, “When it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck ... " Spitzer interrupted with, "But every duck doesn't run for office, you know."
