Republican Senator Jon Kyl, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told CBS's Face the Nation this morning that the GOP will not filibuster Elena Kagan's nomination to the Supreme Court. "The filibuster should be relegated to the extreme circumstances, and I don't think Elena Kagan will represent that," he said. Newt Gingrich, who thinks President Obama should withdraw Kagan's nomination before she even has a chance at a confirmation hearing, couldn't disagree more. [Politico]
