BP CEO Tony Hayward Gets His Life Back With a Yacht Race

BP CEO Tony Hayward took some time off from cleaning up the massive BP oil spill today in order to fulfill some obligations on his social calendar: He spent the day rooting for his his boat “Bob” in the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round of a posh yacht race off the British isle of Wight. “It’s a well-known event in the British calendar,” BP spokesman Robert Wine said, defensively. “He’s entitled to private time with his family. He’s continuing to work hard. You don’t have to be physically in a location to remain in charge of the response.” [NYDN]
