BP has been forced to remove the cap that had been collecting hundreds of thousands of barrels of oil a day after "an underwater robot bumped into the venting system" and "sent gas rising through [a] vent that carries warm water down to prevent ice-like crystals from forming in the cap." BP is now checking to see if any of these crystals have formed, and the robot has been repeatedly told to "go home." [AP]
