Condé Nast Reheating Gourmet

Condé Nast chairman Si Newhouse has always been a little reluctant to license out his living glossy brands, but according to the Observer’s John Koblin, once he’s put such a brand out to pasture, he’ll consider shopping around the name.

Tomorrow morning Conde Nast is expected to make an announcement about the extension of the Gourmet brand, Conde sources tell us (this is unrelated to the launch of Dash magazine). The magazine folded back in October, and people have not been happy about that. The brand extension is expected to be primarily web-related.

Ruth Reichl, the legendary Gourmet editor, is not expected to be involved with this latest iteration of the brand.
