The pieces are all falling into place in Hawaii’s plot to gradually wrest the levers of American government from the mainlanders who have controlled them for the past 240 years. Joining our Hawaiian-born president and Hawaiian-born secretary of Veterans Affairs atop Washington’s power structure is Hawaiian senator Daniel Inouye, who, with the death of Robert Byrd, was sworn in today as the Senate’s president pro tempore, a vastly powerful (read: largely ceremonial) position that puts him third in the presidential line of succession. We’re going to start learning the hula now, so as to curry favor with our future all-Hawaiian regime.
