Andrew Cuomo Not About to Let Joe Cassano Slip Through His Fingers

The Justice Department couldn’t put together a criminal case against the AIG Financial Products head, who took home a $300 million bonus the year before his unit allegedly drove the insurer to require a $182 billion bailout. The SEC couldn’t find any evidence of fraud. And needless to say, the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission couldn’t get the dude to admit he’d ever even told a white lie. Now, it is up to the one man who remains to stop this villian: Bonus Buster Andrew Cuomo. And he is up to the challenge! “The New York Attorney General’s office is still reviewing the case and has had ‘renewed interest’ in it since the Justice Department decided to drop its probe, a person familiar with the matter said.” [WSJ]
