Colton Harris-Moore, a perpetually shoeless 19-year-old man standing at six-foot-five, better known as the Barefoot Bandit, was arrested this morning in the Bahamas. During his life on the lam, Moore allegedly stole cars, boats, and airplanes in order to dodge U.S. law enforcement after escaping from a Washington state halfway house in 2008. Ferry boat captain Freddie Grant found him “in an inlet,” apparently “watching television, just chilling.” Later reports, however, say the aftermath was less chill, with Moore taken into custody only “after a high-speed boat chase” while carrying a gun, as if we’d expect anything less.
