Blodget’s Business Insider Gets New VC Backer

By

This morning, Business Insider founder Henry Blodget announced that his web mini-empire has secured a new round of $3 million in financing and landed a new backer, venture capital firm RRE Ventures. That's more than the company's been running on for the past three years all together, and Blodget hopes it will allow the site to do more original reporting, launch new verticals, and launch a professional research service and international editions. They may even, he noted, get a copy editor. [Business Insider]
