Deadly Blasts Strike Pakistan Shrine

At least 37 people were killed and 175 injured in a double suicide bombing at Pakistan’s “most important Sufi shrine” in Lahore (the country’s second-largest city) Thursday night. The strike was levied at the peak worship time, which is “certain to enrage Pakistanis … growing weary of violence that has spiked in the past four years,” the Times says. At this point, no person or group has taken responsibility for the attacks. [NYT]
