Documentarian Assailed for Association With Goldman Sachs

By

Poor Ric Burns. When Ken's lesser-known brother accepted a commission from Goldman Sachs to make a movie about the firm for their internal use back in 2007, he probably thought he was just paying the rent. But now, Goldman is Public Enemy No. 1, and his peers are complaining to the Journal that his decision to work with Goldman "goes against everything we fight for as documentary makers." We somehow don't think this is what Burns meant when he told us back in May that the Wall Street crash made working on the film "a lot more interesting." [WSJ]
