Senate Passes Financial-Overhaul Bill

Senators have voted 60–39 in favor of passing the financial-overhaul bill; allegedly the biggest overhaul of financial-industry regulation since the Great Depression. President Obama is expected to sign it by the end of the week. Here's hoping at least he has read what Senator Richard Selby, an opponent of the bill, called a “2,300-page legislative monster.” [Bloomberg]
