Yesterday Marc Ambinder uncovered what appeared to be a half-baked PDF magazine put out by Al Qaeda. It included statements from Osama Bin Laden, radical cleric Anwar al-Alwaki, Qaeda No. 2 Ayman Al-Zawahari, and a feature about how to “make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom.” But today, Ambinder’s Atlantic colleague Max Fisher created a list of five reasons why it’s probably fake — including the fact that the magazine contains an “essay” by a terrorist who has been in Guantánamo since 2005.
