After receiving a smattering of criticism when they retreated to Maine for some R&R recently, the president and his family will be taking a “quick, weekend beach vacation on the Gulf of Mexico” over the weekend of August 14 and 15. Back in June, the president advised the public that the best way to show support and help the states afflicted by the spill was to “come down here and visit” - and now he's doing just that. And three weeks should be more than enough time for the president to acquire some more suitable leisure attire. [WSJ]
