Pakistani Floods Claim More Lives


Extreme flooding in Pakistan caused by torrential monsoons, covering about one-fifth of the country, has claimed the lives of more than one thousand people, authorities said today. Health officials fear the unsanitary conditions brought about by the floods could affect more Pakistanis in days to come.
