After the "booing controversy" following Monday night's show received — like pretty much everything related to Sarah Palin — a stupefying amount of media attention, the producers of Dancing With the Stars went overboard Tuesday night in an attempt to prove the booing had nothing to do with Bristol's mom, perhaps scared the incident will keep her from returning to the audience. Stars aired "raw, unedited footage" that seemed to indicate the booing was directed not at Palin but at the judges for not giving contestants Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough better marks (the duo earned three eights, the highest score of the night). According to host Tom Bergeron, Palin was “surprised by all the controversy because she was booing [the judges], too."
