First-year students at Harvard Law School got an e-mail this week informing them that Elizabeth Warren wouldn’t be teaching their Contracts class this fall and that Professor Jerry Frug would take over instead. The e-mail’s mention of the “last-minute change” fueled speculation that Warren will be tapped to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Although, as TPM points out, progressive Dawn Johnsen left her post at Indiana University only to watch Democrats bow out of confirming her for the Office of Legal Counsel for the Justice Department.
