Steven Slater, the JetBlue flight attendant who got so sick of his job's unfair demands that he grabbed some beer and jumped from an airplane, fleeing to the warm embraces of his boyfriend, has been fired. Well, JetBlue spokeswoman Jenny Dervin confirmed yesterday that Slater "no longer works for the airline," but declined to elaborate on exactly how Slater and the company parted ways. In our collective minds, however, Slater is definitely not now searching for a new gig in order to make ends meet or concerned about the charges of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief against him, but, rather, living in the Caribbean with his man, drinking margaritas and laughing at the sad suckers still working thankless jobs.
