The White House Is Angry at the Times

The White House is disputing today’s Times story about the White House’s plans for a national ad campaign arguing that the Republican Party has been overtaken by the extremism of the tea-party movement. “There’s been no discussion of such a thing at the White House,” David Axelrod told the paper last night, and a spokesman told Politico the piece was “100 percent inaccurate.” Even after being tweaked, the story still maintains that “people involved in the discussion” say that such “national advertisements” are part of a “range of ideas” under consideration. Also, the Times initially referred to Joe Miller as Jeff Miller, which we can all agree was not correct.
