Sarah Palin attended a GOP rally in California yesterday, but the GOP's gubernatorial hopeful Meg Whitman and senatorial hopeful Carly Fiorina were nowhere to be found. Instead, they both came up with shaky excuses, citing "scheduling conflicts," though Politico notes: "Of course they would have come to an event filled with cameras if they thought there was any political upside," adding that for some Republicans, a Palin endorsement is "kryptonite." Worst of all, Fiorina was just an hour away, with John McCain, that back-stabber. Palin attempted revenge: "Not once during remarks that lasted over twenty minutes did [Palin] mention [them]."
