"He was analytical," Scott Tepper, brother of the billionaire hedge-fund manager David, told us of the Appaloosa founder in this week's magazine. “We had a railing on our porch, and he would be like, 'If I put my head in there, would I get stuck?'" In fact, he did once get stuck, and the police had to be called to extract him. This, along with a few other stories from Tepper's early years, are told in a video tribute to Tepper compiled for the occasion of his 2003 donation to Carnegie Mellon, a portion of which you can watch here.
