On Rachael Ray today, Whoopi Goldberg once again addressed the flap from last week over Muslims and 9/11, in which a statement by Bill O'Reilly caused her and co-host Joy Behar to get up and leave the stage of The View. "I don't generally say anything I'm sorry for," she told Ray. "Opinions are like backsides and everyone's got one." This is an interesting twist on the phrasing of this adage that we've heard in the past. Because, well, not everybody really does have a backside. Skinny people, for example, have barely any butts at all! Are we to believe that health nut Barack Obama has no opinions?
