According to the White House pool report, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs threw a fit when only five American reporters were allowed into a key meeting with the Indian prime minister, instead of the agreed-upon eight. “At one point, Gibbs literally had his foot lodged in the closing front door, asking if the Indian security officials pushing hard to shut it were going to break his foot.” When the foot thing didn’t work, Gibbs threatened to pull Obama himself from the meeting.
