Dana Milbank About to Suffer Terrible Withdrawal

After writing about Sarah Palin in 42 columns since she was selected as the Republican vice-presidential candidate in the summer of 2008, and mentioning her “in dozens more blog posts, Web chats, and TV and radio appearances,” the Washington Post’s Dana Milbank has decided to finally confront his addiction. “I hereby pledge that, beginning on Feb 1, 2011, I will not mention Sarah Palin — in print, online or on television — for one month,” he declared today. Good luck, brother. We once knew a journalist who thought he could quit Palin cold turkey. Couldn’t cope. Went crazy, took his own life. [WP]
