Health-Care Reform Repeal Takes One Big, Futile Step Forward

The GOP-dominated House passed a repeal of last year’s health-care reform legislation this evening, 245–189, on a mostly party-line vote. Every Republican congressman voted to repeal; every Democrat except for three — Oklahoma’s Dan Boren, North Carolina’s Mike McIntyre, and Arkansas’s Mike Ross — voted against repeal. The bill will now die in the Democratically controlled Senate, as so much legislation passed in the House tends to do. [MSNBC]
