95-year-old Robert Sargent Shriver Jr., the former vice-presidential candidate and longtime Washington veteran who founded the Peace Corps, died today. Shriver’s late wife was Special Olympics founder Eunice Kennedy Shriver, sister to President John F. Kennedy.
