‘Anonymous’ Calls for Boycott of Dixie Cups, Quilted Northern Toilet Paper

What did these innocent paper products ever do to anyone? They’re both brands owned by Koch Industries, the namesake corporation of David and Charles Koch, the billionaire conservative brothers reviled by many liberals and union members for their pro-business political activism. The brothers Koch became the latest victims of the hacktivist collective Anonymous yesterday when the site for their conservative group, Americans for Prosperity, was brought down by a denial-of-service attack. In a statement, Anonymous declared that “the Koch brothers threaten the United States democratic system and, by extension, all freedom-loving individuals everywhere,” and to stop them, “unions across the globe” should join together to boycott all paper products of Koch Industries subsidiary Georgia-Pacific, such as Dixie Cups, Brawny, Quilted Northern, and Angel Soft. Of course, Koch Industries is such a vast, diversified conglomerate that to really boycott it, you’d have to stop doing pretty much everything.
