Gossip Girl’s Tika Sumpter looked polished and poised at the Alice + Olivia presentation earlier this week, despite weathering a few recent on-set mishaps. “One mishap was in a scene where we’re supposed to, like, we’re in bed. Well, no, [Ed Westwick] is supposed to throw me down on the bed. And he throws me down, and we almost sort of, like, break the bed,” said Sumpter, who then assured us that Westwick is “not violent, he’s passionate He’s a passionate, artistic guy.” Elsewhere at the presentation, fellow cast member Hugo Becker — who will soon reprise his role as Louis Grimaldi — seems to have been spared Ed Westwick’s passion, but not his friendliness. “They’re really welcoming,” Becker, who is French, said of the cast. “Blake Lively just cooked for us. Like, she made a great cake for all the crew That’s impressive, isn’t it?" It is impressive, but was it good? “To be honest, it was actually disgusting. No, I’m kidding. It was good. It was really, really good. It tasted professional,” Becker recalled. “It was a complex thing.” No doubt it was.
