Chamber of Commerce Refuses to Laugh at Obama's Corny Jokes

By

According to the Atlantic's Chris Good, "there were only two moments of genuine clapping" during President Obama's speech before the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — the business federation that spent $32 million campaigning against Democrats in the midterm elections — earlier today. When Obama joked, "I will go anywhere anytime to be a booster for American business, and I don't charge a commission," they didn't even humor him with a chuckle. Maybe he just set the bar too high with that salmon joke. [Atlantic]
