CNN's John King admitted on Tuesday that his network was having an increasingly difficult time accessing the ever-widening field of Republican presidential candidates. “When it comes to covering the early maneuverings of the 2012 presidential race," explained King, "we at CNN have what I'll call ‘The Fox problem.’”
The Fox problem explicitly refers to the several Fox contributors and hosts who may be running in the next election, including Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, and Newt Gingrich. So far, CNN hasn't been able to access any of the Fox-affiliated potential candidates. "They're not supposed to sit down for interviews with CNN,” said King. Of course, if any of them do decide to run, they'll have to be let out of their Fox contracts. Until then, CNN will be Palin and Huckabee-free.
