Buried at the bottom of a boring Post report this morning about who is currently running Time Inc. now that Jack Griffin has been ousted — John Huey will retain mostly his current editor-in-chief duties, CFO Howard Averill will take over marketing and ad sales, and counsel Maurice Edelson will take over strategy and administration — was some real news. Style & Entertainment group SVP David Geithner will now have Time Inc.-wide responsibilities. Why is this important? Because he's Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner's younger brother? No. It's because he's adorable! (And he's a twin.) We're going to keep our eyes on this guy. You know, for media-reporting purposes.
On a side note: Now that David's even more powerful, guess we can expect Tim on People's 50 Most Beautiful People list again.
