Dick Fuld Won’t Let an SEC Investigation Keep Him From Giving Investment Advice

I solemnly swear to pretend this isn't happening.

The SEC is still investigating whether Dick Fuld and his Lehman cohorts used accounting gimmicks and false statements to defraud investors and hide Lehman Brothers' impending collapse. But you wouldn't know that by watching Fuld. The bank's former CEO is stepping out in the spotlight again with his new midtown investment advisory firm, including meeting with financial executives to set up a private equity deal and showing up at San Pietro, the swanky restaurant he visited during Lehman's heyday. A source told Fox Business, "It was bizarre. He acted as if he has nothing to worry about." Or maybe there's a market for the kind of savvy that helps you set off a financial crisis and still avoid jail time. [Fox Business]
