On Tuesday, protesters in Egypt took to the streets again to protest President Hosni Mubarak’s leadership. In order to ensure that things remained peaceful, some protesters brought along flowers to hand to soldiers — which reminded us of a certain iconic photo taken by Washington Evening Star photographer Bernie Boston. Boston’s Flower Power depicted a young man sticking flowers in soldiers’ gun barrels during a 1967 antiwar protest at the Pentagon.
