A 6.3 magnitude earthquake hit the New Zealand city of Christchurch on Tuesday afternoon (our Monday night), seriously damaging the city’s buildings, buckling streets and breaking water mains.The spire on the 147-year-old Christchurch Cathedral toppled and phone lines are down.
