Scientists have taken an informal census of planets in our galaxy and determined that there are at least 50 billion planets in the Milky Way. What's more, at least 500 million of those planets are in the "not-too-hot, not-too-cold zone" where life could theoretically exist. And real-estate prices aren't even astronomical out there yet.
