Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, the 20-year-old Saudi arrested in Texas yesterday on terror charges, had a lot of ideas. In addition to blowing up the Crawford home of George W. Bush and bringing a backpack bomb into a Dallas nightclub, Aldawsari allegedly hoped to wreak havoc in New York City with car bombs placed in highly trafficked areas and, à la The Rock, baby dolls rigged to explode:
A bloodthirsty Saudi Arabian college student was busted in Texas for a sickening plot to pack baby dolls with explosives, put them in strollers and set them off at the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building and on Wall Street, police sources told The Post yesterday….
Aldawsari’s [sic] obsessively pored through online pictures of realistic-looking baby dolls, including some that could be altered to conceal bomb equipment, according to the complaint.
This is a particularly sinister terror plot, since, in addition to the deaths it could inflict, we would never really be able to trust babies again.
