That’s according to a study that asked respondents from America, Britain, and other countries to rate the attractiveness of Finnish politicians. The results: Conservative office-holders were better looking. The authors of the study aren’t entirely sure why, but one explanation they propose (PDF) is that “good-looking people are more likely to perceive the world as a just place (since they are treated better than others) — and are therefore inclined to embrace conservative opinions.” In other words: “I’m beautiful, what is everyone complaining about?” [Daily Mail UK via Hairpin]
