On Wednesday, Corporal Jeremy Morlock was sentenced to 24 years in prison after he admitted to purposefully killing three innocent Afghans while serving in Afghanistan in 2010. Morlock was part of a "kill team," and was photographed smiling and lifting the head of one of the three corpses by the hair. "The plan was to kill people," said Morlock. "When asked by the presiding judge whether the "kill team" knew they were murdering innocent people, Morlock explained that "generally, yes, sir, everyone knew," and admitted, "I lost my moral compass."
