Accused Murderer Renato Seabra Wants His Confession Thrown Out

In defense papers filed yesterday, Renato Seabra, the 21-year-old male model accused of killing and castrating his boyfriend, 65-year-old writer Carlos Castro, at a Times Square Hotel last month, seeks to have his confession tossed on the (shaky) grounds that nobody witnessed the murder and he shouldn’t have been arrested. Seabra’s lawyer also said he is still weighing a psychiatric defense. Seabra, who slit his wrists after the alleged murder, has until April 8 to make up his mind about pleading insanity. [NYP]
