President Obama and the First Family headed to Cape Canaveral on Friday to meet with Representative Gabrielle Giffords and watch the Endeavour launch, but the Endeavour launch was suddenly postponed. The delay is bad news for everyone who showed up hoping to watch a rocket fly into space, but it also yielded this conversation:

Before going in to see [Gabrielle Giffords], the president greeted her husband, Commander Mark Kelly, in a corridor.

"I bet you were hoping to see a rocket launch today," Kelly said.

Replied the president: "We were hoping to see you."

And then the two embraced, with plenty of manly yet affectionate back-slapping.
