This Ivory Coast Thing May Come to an End Soon

Ivory Coast strongman Laurent Gbagbo has less than than 1,000 troops left in the country’s central city of Abidjan, according to French Defense Minister Gerard Longuet. Longuet estimates that around 200 of these fighters are located at the presidential residence, where the strongman refuses to stand down. Gbagbo is attempting to uphold his position against incoming president Alassane Ouattara. Doesn’t look like it’s working, though. [BBC]
