Do not mess with Monju Begum. Over the weekend, the Bangladeshi mother of three was sexually assaulted by her neighbor Mazammel Haq Mazi, and fought back by cutting his penis off. Begum said Mazi had been harassing her for months, while Mazi claimed the pair had been having an affair and the fight had been the result of a “lover’s quarrel.” After the attack, Begum took the severed penis to the police and filed an official report. “She said she fought back and cut off his penis and brought it to our police station in a polythene bag to prove that Mr. Mazi tried to rape her,” a police spokesman told the BBC. Lucky for Mr. Mazi, surgeons were able to successfully reattach the organ.
