America’s Least Expensive College Costs $430 a Year

As required by the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, the Department of Education today unveiled a new website that lets you sort through data on America’s most and least expensive colleges and examine whose costs are rising the fastest. The most pricey tuition belongs to Bates College in Maine, at a whopping $51,300 a year. At the other end of the spectrum, with a tuition of just $430 a year, there’s Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas, the future alma mater of the Amira children.
