On Tuesday, crooked Bronx cop Jorge Arbaje-DIaz was sentenced to twenty years in prison for robbing drug gangs and threatening children at gunpoint (!) as part of an elaborate illegal drug ring. Arbaje-Diaze admitted that he wore his uniform and badge while engaging in the illegal activities and stole more than $1,600 pounds of cocaine and $4 million in illicit drug money over a five-year period. “You are the poster boy for a sentence that will deter others from the kinds of acts you engaged in,” said Judge Nicholas Garaufis, who issued the sentence.
