Representative Gabrielle Giffords’s staff published new photos of the congresswoman, taken May 17, on Giffords’s Facebook page Sunday morning. After only a few hours, the photos had over 2,000 likes. In an interview earlier this week, a Giffords aide said the congresswoman is “borrowing upon ways of communicating, but when it comes to a bigger and more complex thought that requires words, she’s had trouble.” Giffords plans to leave her rehabilitation facility in Houston and begin outpatient therapy in Texas by the end of June.
