A Russian passenger jet, belonging to the RusAir airline, reportedly crashed in heavy fog and burst into flames on a highway in Russia, falling short of a runway where high-intensity fog lights had failed. 44 people were killed, and 8 people survived. A Russian investigative agency believes a combination of bad weather, human error, and a technical malfunction may have contributed to the crash.
