Texas Psychic’s Mass Grave Tip Doesn’t Pan Out [Updated]

Police in Liberty County, Texas, have reportedly uncovered a mass grave with as many as 30 bodies in it on an isolated property around 70 miles northeast of Houston. The site was discovered after officers responded to an anonymous tip, and according to local television station KPRC, the bodies are believed to be of children. A neighbor living near the property said a 16-year-old woman and her 19-year-old fiancé lived on the property, and noted that cross-country truck drivers often stayed at the property. The police have suspended their investigation until they have a search warrant. “We have found some circumstances that have raised some questions and we have requested a search warrant. As soon as that warrant arrives here at the scene, we will further our investigation,” said Captain Rex Evans with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.

Update: Police now say that no bodies have been found on the site. “There’s nothing been confirmed … and we don’t have any confirmation that bodies have been buried,” said Colonel Steve McCraw, head of the Texas Department of Public Safety. “We’re working with our local partners, and anytime there’s a report of this nature we have an obligation to work with our local partners to determine if it’s factual or not.” The tip that originally sent police to the rural location? It came from a psychic.
