Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina is, as far as we know, the only Republican so far to suggest that raising some new tax revenue in order to both lower the debt and reach an agreement on the debt ceiling would not, in fact, bring about the apocalypse. If Obama is willing to reform entitlements, Graham tells ABC News while riding the Capitol subway, “then we should be willing to take some of these [tax] deductions and exemptions and then apply it to the debt. To me, that makes sense. That way you don’t raise tax rates, but you do generate new revenue by closing loopholes.” RINO! Get the pitchforks!
