Lately, the Upper East Side Seems to Be the Gropiest Neighborhood in Manhattan

Some of you ladies who went on post-college dates with ex-frat boys of a certain stripe might already be nodding along with that characterization. But on an entirely different note, there has been a notable rash of creepy sexual assaults in the neighborhood lately: The most recent attack came this morning in Central Park, when a 41-year-old jogger at 72nd Street on the east side of the park had her rear-end grabbed by a man who then quickly fled. One Eusebio Molina, 26, was arrested for the attack, and police have also held him for questioning for several other recent groping incidents in the neighborhood, all apparently by the same man, dubbed the “pint-size perv.” That’s all in addition to the separate, horrifying sexual assault and robbery of an 85-year-old woman in the neighborhood, for which a man was arrested early last month. Yeesh.
