Jon Huntsman's campaign manager, Susan Wiles, has "resigned" — scare quotes because we really have no idea whether she left on her own or was told to leave — and will be replaced by Huntsman's communications director, according to The Fix. John Weaver, the veteran of the John McCain campaign who serves as one of Huntsman's top advisers, sough to stifle any alarm, claiming that the campaign is merely "moving into phase two, which will be more aggressive from a messaging and tactical standpoint."

A new phase is definitely needed. As much as the adoring media wants Jon Huntsman to be a viable candidate, so far he just isn't. Since entering the campaign one month ago today, he's yet to receive over 3 percent support in any national poll.
